Cheese Please
The dog didn’t have an eye problem. It’s just that he had two different coloured eyes, and the left one looked weird, kind of dead. He had one dead blue eye, and one alive brown eye.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
The dog came racing for the marmot and the rabbit.
Another dog, a tall white dog with two normal eyes, came racing too.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Magali squealed. ‘Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Run, Mishka!’
The marmot and the rabbit raced over mounds, rocks, grass, bugs, ants, and flowers, until they were far from the Cheese Shack and the guard dogs.
Magali kicked a pink flower and said, ‘It’s not fair! I just want some cheese!’
Mishka’s long rabbit ears flopped across his red-flushed face. ‘I told you! It’s impossible! They’re always there.’
‘No, it isn’t!’
‘Yes, it is. Those dogs are always there.’
Magali scrunched up her marmot face. ‘If only they weren’t there!’ Suddenly, her eyes lit up. ‘I have an idea! We need to trick them! One of us needs to distract the dogs, while the other one sneaks in and gets the cheese!’
The rabbit rolled his eyes. ‘So… one of us gets the cheese, and one of us gets eaten?’
